Donations

Update: (Wedding Dress Donations on Pause, Other Donations Welcome)

If you have a vintage wedding dress (1990s or older) and you would like to donate it to be restored and given a second chance, you're in luck! I'm happy to take on your gown and share it's story.

FAQ

Address to send it to:

6824 19th St W, PMB 302 University Place WA 98466

What should I include?

Please include anything about your story that you wouldn't mind shared, even if you are donating the dress on someone's behalf. Sharing their story with the world is part of what makes them so special, an it helps them find that extra special second chance match! Other's want a chance to fall in love with it just as much as you did.

How should I ship my dress?

When shipping I recommend USPS flat rate boxes as they can be cheaper than some other options out there. I also don't recommend trying to ship your dress in it's original preservation box if you want to save on cost.

Do you help with shipping costs?

Unfortunately that is not something I can assist with at this time.

Who should I address it to?

Hobby Bobbins

Will a p.o. box accept such a large package?

Yes! The people at the local post office are quite kind and love hearing some of your stories so they do a great job of making room no matter what!

Would you accept a dress from the 80s?

Yes! Anything from the 90s and older is lovely!

What do you do with the dress after you restore it?

It depends! Mostly I try to find them a second chance on my shop but I have a few that people have asked me to hold on to for my personal collection or to gift as I see fit.

Do you accept any other donations?

Oh of course! I love it when people send me little vintage trinkets and interesting pieces. I also love just getting letters as well. No pressure either way!
